Learn-to-Row 2014 Spring Session ~ Section II

Instructor: TBD

The Virginia Boat Club's Learn-to-Row program teaches adults how to sweep row in a crew boat (4 or 8 person boat plus a coxswain). The program consists of twelve approximately 90 minute classes ending with participation in the Rockett's Landing Sprints Regatta.

In this class, rowers will learn proper body position, blade technique, safe boat carrying and teamwork to enjoy the thrill, power and speed of rowing. This program is sweep rowing. For more information, see our Sweep vs. Sculling page.

There will be 12 classes which are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM and Saturday mornings at 7:30 AM beginning May 13th. (There will be no class on Memorial Day weekend - May 24th.) This year the Rockett's Regatta will take place on Saturday June 21.

Sessions fill up quickly, so advanced registration is highly recommended. There are only 20 openings per class and we reserve spaces on a first-come basis.
