2015 Learn-To-Row Spring Session

The Virginia Boat Club's Learn-To-Row program teaches adults how to sweep row in a rowing shell (4 or 8 person boats with a coxswain).  The program consists of twelve classes, approximately 90-minute classes.

In the class students will learn proper rowing body positions, blade technique, safe boat movement, and teamwork leading to the enjoyment, thrill, power, and speed of rowing.  In the event of rain, classes will be held indoors.

The twelve classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 PM and on Saturday morning at 7:30 AM beginning Saturday May 2nd. There will be no classes on Memorial Day Weekend.

Learn to row graduates will have the opportunity to compete against other new rowers at the VBC Sprints Regatta on 6/20/2015.

Sessions for Learn-To-Row fill up quickly.  Advance registration is highly recommended.
