Competitive Masters

Competitive Programs

If competitive rowing is what you're interested in, VBC has a downtown program for you! Our competitive rowers train on a regular basis, with a minimum of 3 practices a week and compete in local and regional regattas.

Downtown Mixed Masters - row out of the Downtown boathouse every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:45 pm and Saturdays at 7:45am during the season. This program is focused on sweep rowing, typically with a coach in a launch.
Summer Morning Practice - VBC members and college students can sign up for coached summer morning practices mornings June through August.

The local regattas including VBC Sprints at Robious Landing, Capitol Sprints (D.C.), Head of the Occoquan (Northern VA), and others.

Are you an experienced rower thinking about joining VBC?...Then come join us for a guest row before you join.
